Founded in 1990, Asian American Democrats of Texas serves as a link between the Asian American community and the larger political community. This involves two goals. The first is increasing the participation of Asian Americans in the Democratic Party specifically and the American political system generally. The second goal is to increase the presence and understanding of the Democratic Party within the Asian American community.

The Asian American Family Counseling Center (AAFCC) is the only community-based agency dedicated to serving the mental health needs of the Asian American community in the greater Houston area.

Since 1981, the Asian American Journalists Association has sought to increase the number of Asian American journalists, provide a network of support for Asian American journalists, encourage Asian students to enter the profession and work for fair and accurate coverage of Asian Pacific communities.

Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary major that explores the complex interaction between political, social, religious and other important spheres of human life in Asia. Emphasis is placed not only on the diversity and achievements of Asian civilizations, but also on the ways an understanding of Asia may shed new light on Western cultural traditions.

The Center brings together faculty and students with interests in Asia from across the University. It is a regional resource center for Asia and sponsors workshops for school teachers, public lectures, scholarly conferences, films, and performing arts events.

DAABA was founded to promote the interests of Asian-American attorneys and the Asian-American community. It is a chapter of the National Asian/Pacific-American Bar Association ("NAPABA"). Don Joe was DAABA's first President and has served diligently and tirelessly as the organization's Treasurer over the years. Michele Wong Krause, a past DAABA president, served on a committee sponsored by the Texas Legislature to study merit selection of Texas judges.

Its diverse membership includes Importers & Exporters, Bankers, various professionals and many entrepreneurs. By bringing together such a unique network of people into a motivating environment of social interaction, athletic competition and business workshops & seminars. The organization has achieved many outstanding successes. HAJCC is for people who have the strong desire to succeed.
