H. Karl Scharold Antiques, Inc. specializes in fine 18th and 19th century American furniture, clocks, and lighting devices. Mr. Scharold was formerly an executive in the healthcare industry. Upon his retirement in 1990, an avocation became his vocation. He established his antique business, a result of expanding his hobby of woodworking and the restoration of the antiques that his wife and he had acquired.

Horton Antiques is located in the Historical Downtown section of Plainview. These classic buildings were built in the early 1900's. Our town is a friendly place. People spend the day visiting our many Antique Shops and Unique Stores.

The building is located in one of the cities earliest commercial areas. At least part of the structure is about 111 years old. Structural changes to the building are at least 65 years old (some of them even older) and have existed long enough to achieve historical validity in their own right.

All of my items have been used on board sea going ships and boats dating from 1795 to 1943.
