The Texas K9 Police Association for Certifications & Standards was formed to support the K9 Police Officer in the state of Texas, and around the world. We are the largest K-9 Police organization in the state. The majority of members are individual police officers, though we have several department members. We also offer the opportunity for both corporations and individuals to "join" as sponsors.

The TMPA was formed in 1950 by Peace Officers representing all ranks and agency sizes. TMPA began as a lobbying group of municipal officers with the objective of promoting professionalism in Texas law enforcement as well as improving job conditions and enhancing communication among Texas peace officers.

The Texas Ranger Association, rich in the history and tradition of the Texas Rangers, is a non-profit, tax exempt, Texas Corporation organized in 1982 to support the active and retired Texas Rangers of the Texas Department of Public Safety
